- OBW is the largest, and only full service, cooperage in Canada. We make high end French and American oak barrels and this year we will also have Hungarian oak available. A new treat for your special whites would be our Acacia wood barrels. As far as we know we are the only cooperage in North America actively making large format oak tanks and fermenters. All coopering is under the direction of our French-trained Master Cooper.

International Barrel Challenge
The results are in...after 12 months in new American oak barrels, the final judging was done at Jackson Triggs to determine the most beneficial extractive profile from amongst 7 competing cooperages:
1st place Seguin Moreau
2nd place OKANAGAN BARREL WORKS (just think what we can do with French oak!)
3rd place Radoux USA
4th place Demptos Napa tied with A&K Cooperage
5th place Canadian Oak Cooperage
6th place Carriage House…
