Fundraising Dinner at CRU Supports Weekend to End Women’s Cancers
Weekend to End Women’s Cancers is an annual 60 km fundraising walk that takes place over two days. CRU’s friend, Kim Hardacre, has participated in the walk 8 times since the event started in 2004. The first year she did so despite the fact that the walk took place only three weeks after she had completed chemotherapy and radiation treatments for breast cancer. Kim has participated every year since then, raising over $34,000 in total.
The four-course menu is designed and prepared by Executive Chef Alana Peckham, who will be the only female chef competing in the Canadian Gold Medal Plates in Vancouver on November 4th, 2011.
